Careers at Cornerstone OnDemand
Mission
Cornerstone OnDemand’s mission is to improve access to education on a global basis through online learning.
Founding story
Adam Miller, Steven Seymour, and Perry Wallack had a vision. They believed that ongoing learning and development was necessary for employee and company improvement. With that in mind, they designed and developed a software solution designed to improve education access through online learning. In 1999 they founded a company in California to market this product, calling it CyberU.
After showing initial promise, the firm was able to raise $32 million in a venture capital round in 2007, led by Bessemer Venture Partners and Bay Partners. The next few years saw a number of milestones. In 2011, it filed an inital public offering and was listed on the NASDAQ. It then grew through acquisitions of Sonar6 and Evolv. It now provides cloud-based talent management products.
