Indegene’s mission is to create and deliver solutions for healthcare today and tomorrow by seamlessly integrating analytics, technology, operations, and medical expertise.

Founding story

In 1998 Indegene was founded in India by Dr. Rajesh Nair and four of his colleagues: Manish Gupta, Gaurav Kapoor, Anand Kiran, and Dr. Sanjay Parikh. The company was a provider of research and development management solutions for organizations in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Its goal was to enable these groups to improve health and business outcomes.

In the early 2000s Indegene acquired its first company, Medsn -- a provider of medical education solutions. Its name was later changed to Indegene Pharmaceutical Solutions. In 2006 Indegene bought MedCases, a continuing medical education firm. In 2009, it signed a master service agreement with six of hte top 10 pharma firms worldwide. By 2015 it had over 1,600 employees.

Rajesh Nair,
Co-Founder and President

info: Rajesh earned an MBBS in Medicine at Medical College Trivantrum and an MBA at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He previously headed the Biotech division at Sarabhai Group. He has almost two decades of experience in healthcare.

Sanjay Parikh,

info: Sanjay earned a B.Tech degree at IIT-B and a Ph.D. in Biomed Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. He previously served as a Venture Manager at Antfactory and as an Executive Director at Kopran Laboratories.

Gaurav Kapoor,
