MiNodes is creating a world where all brick and mortar stores will embrace the power of e-commerce by bringing analytical online tools to the offline world to help retailers gain a better understanding of their operations and consumer engagement.

Product Segments

MiNodes has three solutions targeted for solving different problems for retailers.

  • Retail Analytics – MiNodes lets retailers manage their store based on customer behavior insights, measure and optimize conversion and sales, and optimize staffing to align with customer traffic.
  • Omnichannel Retargeting – MiNodes lets retailers convert online leads to retail store visitors and track visitor conversion, drive consumer traffic to the local retail store and online shop, and retarget retail store shoppers across online channels.
  • Beacon Campaigns – MiNodes lets companies implement measurable mobile marketing campaigns, directly influence purchase decisions and turn browsers into buyers, and grow their base of loyal customers.

History

MiNodes is a German company that was founded in 2013 by Tim Wegner and Alexander Köth. The company is headquartered in Berlin, Germany. Tim and Alexander now serve as Managing Directors of the firm.

Prior to MiNodes, Tim worked at McKinsey & Company, consulting major international retail clients and specializing in global technology trends. He concentrated on Big Data and the Internet of Things. Tim studied Physics at Imperial College London, MIT, and the Technical University of Munich.

Before MiNodes, Alexander was a member of the management at Roelfs Partner Management Consultants and head of Roelfs’ retail practice group. He garnered plenty of experience and knowledge of the expectation and needs of retailers by working with leading companies in various retail sectors. Alexander started his career in 2003 at OC&C Strategy Consultants and he holds an MBA degree from EBS University.

In March 2014, MiNodes received $1.85 million in seed funding. In June the following year, the organization received a further $1.2 million in seed funding. In October 2015, the company received $950,000 in debt financing. In March 2016, MiNodes received $3.55 million in venture capital funding led by Market Tech.

The company has grown and acquired many clients in recent years, now serving more than 60 national and international retail chains across 13 nations. Their clients include major automotive retailers, the world’s largest shopping mall providers, leading supermarket chains, and international luxury fashion group. They now have just under 50 employees working in their offices.
