Neusoft was established in 1988 by Northeastern University professors Jiren Liu (“Liu”) and Huatian Liu. The Company began as a small operation, with just three people and three computers. It changed its name to the Northeastern University Computer Software Research and Development Centre in 1990, before formally incorporating in 1991.
Neusoft developed its operations in the early 1990s, diversifying its operations by founding NEU Software Group Limited. In 1996 the Company became the first publicly-listed Chinese software company when it completed an initial public offering on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. A search of records published by a third party online patents database, however, identified several applications filed in Neusoft’s name, including applications entitled ‘Method and Apparatus for Data Linkage between Heterogeneous Platforms’ and ‘Method and Apparatus for Identifying Obstacle in Image’.
Neusoft also owns and or leases a portfolio of physical properties that comprise its international office network.
