Mission

Rubrik, Inc. provides cloud data management solutions to help companies store, manage, and use their data. Its mission is to simplify how companies “around the world keep and use their data.”

Service

Rubrik’s core service is an integrated data management platform that utilizes pieces of physical hardware, or “appliances,” that are created specifically for what the company calls a “hybrid cloud.” This secure system brings together:

  • Backup and Recovery. The platform allows users to easily create backup policies and access their data using predictive search algorithms. Rubrik eliminates “backup software by integrating data orchestration, catalog management, and deduplicated storage into a single, scale-out fabric.”
  • Replication and Data Recovery. Customers can easily choose replication policies that allow for instantaneous, secure recovery from anywhere. Replication is spread out across data centers and the cloud, enabling “near-zero RTOs.”
  • Data Archival. Rubrik’s data archival service, which is also scalable, helps companies save time and money by utilizing a hybrid cloud environment and military-grade encryption to archive data. Data archival is in the cloud, on-site, or off-site. Files archived this way can be instantly found and downloaded.

Rubrik customers can linearly scale the service by adding physical hardware appliance or “boxes.” Rubrik offers four different products, the Rubrik R334 “for small environments”; the Rubrik R344 “for growing environments”; the Rubrik R348 for “enterprise environments”; and the Rubrik R528 “for higher security standards.”

This scalable approach allows Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to offer their customers secure data archival, backup, and disaster recovery services.
