History
Tata Technologies Limited, a company of Tata Group, was founded in 1989 with the aim to contribute engineering and design services to the world’s leading manufacturers. Tata Group is an Indian multinational conglomerate holding company founded in 1868. Tata Technologies quickly established itself as a significant engineering organization in India.
At the same time, INCAT, an aerospace and automotive engineering corporation based in US and UK carved its name as a world leader in engineering and design staffing to the world’s top automotive OEMs. Meanwhile, another organization, Integrated Systems Technologies (IST), was making itself known as North America’s fastest growing and most forward thinking systems integrator and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software solutions provider. IST merged with INCAT in 1998 to form INCAT International. This new company was an international services and product solutions provider in the fields of aerospace and automotive. Near the end of 2004, it went public on the London Stock Exchange and in 2005 it was acquired by Tata Technologies.
The international headquarters of Tata Technologies are situated in Singapore, and regional ones in US, India, and UK. It also has offices in other countries including Germany, Thailand, Canada, Ireland, France, Netherlands, Mexico, Japan, Korea and many others.
Today, it is a global engineering consulting organization with core specialization in automotive and aerospace. It provides services in product lifecycle management (PLM), engineering and design, manufacturing, IT service management, and product development to automotive and aerospace original equipment manufacturers and their suppliers. The company mainly focuses on the manufacturing industry; covering every aspect of the value chain from concept to recycling. They also provide support clients through an integrated set of engineering services and IT processes and tools to manage the product development process and the complete manufacturing ecosystem.
