An Agricultural Community Becomes Middle Class
In the 1970’s, the then town began to attract young, working families from nearby San Bernardino, Riverside and even further afield, Los Angeles looking for cheaper housing, lower cost of living and a more arable, community centered style of living.
Today the city has expanded well to meet the needs of a suburban community. The city boasts a bustling, centralized shopping and dining district, 17 schools and 14 parks. 2 theatres and 2 movie theatres provide entertainment.
The crime rate is 4% lower than the national average.
Take note of one thing however – in 2017 the local residents voted against Measure H, which would have allowed the construction of housing on 30 acres of land for local residents unable to get on the housing market. If they reject housing construction for their own people, I’ll allow you to decide if this is a particularly warm and welcoming community.
