Jobs in Fairfield, California, United States
Right in the heart of Solano County, in between San Francisco and Sacramento, sits the city of Fairfield, California. Fairfield prides itself on retaining what they call ‘small town values’ without compromising development and innovation. In Fairfield one experiences a healthy mix of the Small Town and the Big City – with the streets remaining treelined, the people remaining good-natured and the City abreast with the latest green technologies.
Candy and Beer Overload
Fairfield is home to the Jelly Belly Candy Company, the creator of (what else?) those oh-so-yummy jelly beans, with innumerable flavor-possibilities. Imagine the fun and excitement of working for a company that creates the Harry Potter candies, or jelly beans the flavor of Krispy Kreme doughnuts, or jelly beans the flavor of Ice Cream. One can hardly get enough of the idea; what more of the candies themselves?
For those who are more of beer bellies than jelly bellies, Fairfield has something in store for you, too! Fairfield boasts of the ‘greenest’ Budweiser brewery, with its use of solar and wind power. Budweiser Fairfield has a 7-acre solar array, as well as two wind turbines. With these, a whopping thirty per cent of all the brewery’s electricity needs is sourced through alternative energy! The brewery also engages in other ‘green’ practices such as bio-energy recovery system (BERS), recycling, and water conservation efforts. Budweiser Fairfield hosts regular tours and attractions, all of which showcase the fun and excitement, without compromising history and heritage.
Recreation: Parks, Golf and More!
Fairfield also has great surprises in store for the adventurous types, boasting of more than five large parks. There are Rockville Hills Regional Park and Fairfield Linear Park, where one can go on family picnics, hikes, or bicycle trips. There’s Alan Witt Park, which has Fairfield’s brand-new Aquatic Complex, complete with water slides, a lap pool, a toddler play area, as well as a ‘lazy river’, if one just wants to walk or float on water.
For the sporty and competitive, Fairfield still doesn’t disappoint. There are three golf courses in Fairfield, two public and one private, and the two public ones (the Paradise Valley and Rancho Solano golf courses) have all been rated and voted as the #1 and #2 golf courses in Solano County for consecutive years.
Truly, retaining all those ‘small town values’ while still pursuing city-wide development has transformed Fairfield into one of the most attractive and comfortable cities to live in.
