The Town of Frederick, located in Weld County, was originally founded as a coal mining town. The mining was done at The Fredrick Coal Mine and attracted many immigrants from both Latin America and Europe, including Italy, Turkey and Greece. Additionally, Crist Park Frederick and Centennial Park are great spots for a fun day out for the whole family.

Boulder Creek is a beautiful creek which offers the perfect setting for both fishing and kayaking. Milavec Reservoir is a great spot to sit by the water, picnic, and to fish. Additionally, in the city of Denver there is the Denver Art Museum, Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, Larimer Square, Denver Botanic Gardens, Denver Museum of Nature and Science, and for the sports enthusiast, the Coors Field.
