Yes – this is the Roswell made famous by the 1947 UFO incident.
A City That is Out of This World!
Yes, Roswell is most famous as the place where aliens first made contact with the world / everyone lost their minds over a shredded weather balloon.
The UFO incident however has played a huge part in the history and modern development and, some could say, the very survival of the city itself. To give an idea of the extent that the UFO incident has penetrated the very fabric of the city, the local pro Baseball team is called the Roswell Invaders and they play in green uniforms (to look like aliens).
New Mexico is described as having something of a small town vibe, despite being quite a large city. This translates as a relatively family friendly city, which of course benefits from the attractive New Mexico weather.
It is not particularly well supplied with public parks and maintained open spaces nor is there a wealth of entertainment, with only one movie theatre for example.

There is even a McDonalds in the city built in the shape of a UFO, if you truly want some out of this world chicken McNuggets.
… Apologies for that joke.
