Sign Hill provides an impressive 30 acres of open space and almost two miles of hiking trails, aside from serving as a monument in North San Mateo County. Fun fact: In 1996, Sign Hill was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
South San Francisco also boasts of Historical Markers and Walking Tours where the goal is two-fold. First, you get to appreciate the city’s historical heritage, and second, you get to do this while burning a lot of unnecessary fat by walking!
