In general, Waltham has a strong economy with a diverse and growing job base.

The Money magazine has included Waltham in the list of 100 best cities in the United States. The city provides easy access to Massachusetts Turnpike, route 2 and route 128. The standard of living in the city is very high. Similarly, low crime rate, strong economy and increasing number of jobs have made the city a prime target both for business owners and job seekers.
